Self Serve wrong direction

HA HA AH AHA HA HA HAH A. We had a pretty awesome soccer game on Saturday night. The only problem our team ran into was the issue of us scoring on ourselves. Then after that we had a casualty of war, which meant no more lady subs for most of the second half. My lungs were not ready for that.

Indoor soccer is a challenge for the lazy lazy lazy person that I aspire to be. Thanks to Rocky, I was there on Saturday and was able to score my FIRST indoor soccer goal of all time! (the keeper was not present between myself and the goal) Inconsequential details should not take away from the epic awesomeness that is scoring a goal.

Also, the score, not as important as the fun and excitement of the blond girl on the other team feeling my boobies whilst trying to get the soccer ball from me. Seems like she had some sort of vendetta against our whole team, mostly for being alive. Or else she just had lots of arm spasms specifically when she wanted to get the soccer ball. Either way, not cool blond ponytail girl, not cool.

I hope the next game I go to is equally as exciting and entertaining.

Soccer Face

This did not happen to me or anyone on our team, but is funny.

So last weekend we had a double header. It was kind of intense and awesome. Not being one to chicken out when I am going to be getting my butt kicked for 90 minutes, I showed up. We won our first game by a good amount. Don't remember the amount, but it was good.

The second game, however, was a little more on the brutal side. We held our own as much as we could against a team that in no way belonged in the C league. We kept their score to double that of ours. I think the final was 8 to 4 or 6 to 3. Either way, we did a great job and every one ran their little hearts out.

You may wonder why I am commenting on last week's game. Well, my reasons are twofold. One, I am just that on top of things and I happened to be sitting on the couch checking my email and thought of it. Two, I did not play in this week's game. I got a nice whack in the ankle from a middle aged gentleman during our first game and I have not recovered enough to put on my shin guards.

This guy gave me a nice whack in the ankle, right on my ankle pad, but he got me so hard, and I probably got him so hard to, that I am still bruised and my broken blood vessels have not healed. Here is the gruesome proof of my wound.

I hope my team did well this week. I was thinking of them as I sat on the couch and tried to keep someone from squishing my ankle. Next week I plan to play and I hope there will be no more of this silly getting kicked in the ankle business.

Dang!

So we had another soccer game on Saturday night. This time the results were not as pleasing. We did not win. But we did hold the other team at bay.

Them: 3
Us: 1

Hey, we scored one. And we almost scored more. That team we played, not so much a C-league team. Kind of belong on the B squad. I mentioned to another person on our team that when every player on the other team has the quad muscles of professional weight lifters, I think it is time to move up a league.

That being said. I played even though my heartburn was twisting my insides into a ball of pain and burning. Caitlin wasn't feeling too hot. Megan ate too much sushi before the game. Katie looked like a germ farm, and injured her ankle five minutes into playing, which knocked her out for the rest of the game. Sharon and Ashley kicked massive booty and were not sick or injured so power on women.

The men. Shaune wore pants. The Dimock brothers were crafty as per usual with Dimocks. Rocky kicked major balls, awesome goalie, he is. Chad and Eric were studs. And Steve's body was faster than his feet again, but still managed to dominate often.

So all in all, a good game, we kept the score down, we played like a team, and we kept the ball low.

That's what she said.

We Won!!!!

Here are some highlights from the game

We had another game last night and had one sub per gender. And we won by six points! The other team even got an extra player for the second half of the game.

Final Score:
Us - 8
Them - 2
